there are some positive signs based on what i have just gone through that beginning with the city's rainy day reserves, we are very hopeful that the super -- we are hopeful that the city will support the district with rainy day reserve funds and the maximum draw that we would be eligible for the $6.3 million in 12-13. the following year, up to another $4.7 million. that is based on the amount of money in the reserve. another positive sign is that we expect the governor to restore state transportation funding in the revision. that is about $7.2 million each year. in his original january budget proposal, he proposed eliminating state funding for transportation. we receive about $7 million annually for that funding. since that january proposal, he has backed off of that and said that he supports maintaining that funding, but he would propose that it become flexible and turned into categorical programs. if he holds true to that in his may revision, we would see the $7.2 million restored in the revenues. another positive thing is that we are in the process of selling a piece of surplus propert

we're grateful the city stepped in to help with summer school. as you can see, this is really not enough. we appreciate extra fund for the city. i do think this is crisis mode right now. i think yes, we would love to have money back from the prop h, of course. this is a crisis. now we are deep in crisis. we think it's that this year will be really terrible, the years after that also. projections don't look much better as you can see and what nancy gave us. i'm only one board member but i probably think that my commissioner partner here is also concerned about all of the students not graduating. it weighs heavily on all of us. this is also i think a reflection of what our future society might be when we look at who's graduating and who's not. this is intended to give students much more opportunity in the 21st century and in fact we are finding that we will for many of them be giving less of an opportunity. so our prop h funds, i was on the prop h citizen advisory committee for three years. i know how precious those funds are. recently, the committ

[applause] >> alright, congratulations. and not to present the committee impact award to an organization, -- and now to present the community impact award, please welcome jeff. >> good evening. i am honored and excited to be here this evening to present the community impact award, an award that i do in the public defender's office. we work with about 1000 young people per year who get involved in the system. something we see again and again is they are there because they did not have the family support, the community support, they did not have the educational support. the three organizations being considered for this award tonight have dedicated decades of program years to the success of young people and have help young people not become involved in the criminal justice system, and this is like the oscars. there are all winners. the finalists in the impact category are - 4c the power, the communi

after six months of data collection -- supervisor mar: a bunch of other cities are falling? >> we have cleared up on several open source sites and other cities have tailored to their needs. eugene, ore. and others who are interested on east coast as well. supervisor mar: what are the benefits for someone to get the app? as a give you suggestions of where to ride? >> it was the important trade off, gathering data as opposed to providing information. we wanted to make it fun enough for people to actually use, but if we told people where to ride, we would not understand why they are choosing different route. it provides information of your average speed of the hills that you climb. it is not designed to be a route finder. that would defeat purpose of trying to figure out where cyclists want to ride on their own. supervisor chiu: could you talk about what they are doing in conjunction with what sfmta is doing? >> we work with them on many, if not all our projects. we just completed the trouble analysis modeling for the effectiveness progress -- project and we go to the meetings
